OLLO User Application: Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the OLLO User Application ("App"), including its services, features, and content. By accessing or using the App, you agree to comply with these Terms. If you do not agree to any part of these Terms, you must refrain from using the App.

1. Account Registration and Use

1.1 Eligibility

To register and use the OLLO User App, you must be at least 18 years old or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction. If you are under 18, you may only use the App with the consent of a parent or guardian.

1.2 Account Creation and Login

When you register for an account, you are required to provide accurate and complete personal information, including your full name, mobile number, email address, and any other details requested by the App. You agree to keep your information current and notify OLLO of any changes. To log in, you must verify your mobile number using a One-Time Password (OTP). By logging in, you consent to receive OTPs for verification purposes.

1.3 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account login credentials, including your mobile number and OTP. If you suspect unauthorized access to your account, you must contact OLLO customer support immediately.

2. Ride Request

2.1 Booking a Ride

OLLO allows you to request rides by providing the following details:

● From Location: The app will automatically fetch your current location via GPS, but you can manually input or select an alternative location.

● To Location: You can manually enter or select a destination for the ride.

● Trip Type: Choose whether the ride is for personal or work-related purposes.

● Ride Timing: You can request an immediate ride (Ride Now) or schedule a ride for a later time (Scheduled Trip).

● Vehicle Selection: After entering your trip details, the app will display available vehicles, along with fare estimates, vehicle types (e.g., sedan, SUV), and estimated arrival times.

2.2 Fare Calculation

The fare for your ride is dynamically calculated based on factors such as distance, vehicle type, and route. The displayed fare is an estimate and may vary slightly due to traffic, route variations, and other factors.

2.3 Ride Confirmation

Once you confirm your ride request, a driver will be assigned. You will be notified when the driver accepts your request, and if the driver is unavailable, you will receive a notification about the unavailability.

3. Payment

3.1 Payment Methods

You can choose from the following payment options for your ride:

● Cash: Pay the driver in cash at the completion of your ride.

● MPesa: Pay via MPesa by copying the driver's MPesa ID and manually transferring the payment.

3.2 Payment Confirmation

At the end of your ride, the driver will confirm whether the payment has been made. Upon confirmation, you will be prompted to rate the ride and provide feedback.

3.3 Additional Charges

The fare quoted includes the base fare, distance charges, and any applicable surcharges unless otherwise specified. Additional charges may apply in case of ride cancellations, special requests, or if the driver incurs extra costs during the ride.

4. User Responsibilities

4.1 Accurate Information

You agree to provide accurate, up-to-date information when requesting rides. Providing incorrect details may cause delays, ride issues, or even cancellations.

4.2 Behavior During Rides

You agree to behave respectfully towards the driver and other passengers (if applicable). Disruptive or abusive behavior will not be tolerated and may result in ride cancellation or suspension from the App.

4.3 Compliance with Laws

You are required to comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and traffic rules while using the App. OLLO is not responsible for any legal issues arising from your conduct.

5. Driver Interaction

5.1 Driver Information

Once your ride is confirmed, you will be provided with the driver’s name, vehicle number, and contact options (call or message). You may contact the driver directly if necessary.

5.2 OTP Verification

Before the ride begins, you must share a One-Time Password (OTP) with the driver to verify your identity and confirm the trip. This ensures a secure and accurate ride experience.

5.3 Ride Cancellations

You can cancel a ride at any time before the driver arrives. However, cancellations made after the driver has been dispatched may incur a fee, especially if the driver has already been on their way.

6. Help & Support

6.1 Customer Support

If you encounter any issues with the App, ride, or payment, you can reach OLLO's customer support team via the Help & Support section within the app. Support is available for technical issues, billing inquiries, and general assistance.

6.2 Resolution of Disputes

In case of any disputes regarding rides, payments, or services, OLLO will attempt to mediate and find an amicable resolution. If needed, further action may be pursued according to the nature of the dispute.

7. Modification and Termination

7.1 Modifications to Terms

OLLO reserves the right to modify or update these Terms at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on the App. You will be notified of significant updates, and your continued use of the App after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

7.2 Termination of Account

OLLO reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms, fraudulent activities, or misuse of the App. If you wish to terminate your account, you may request account deletion by contacting OLLO’s customer support.
